peapodmusic - Surrey based music & movement classes for babies and toddlers

Public sessions are 20-45 minutes long, depending on age and ability. The focus is child led and interpreted through song and dance-play, accompanied by live music, using puppets and tuned and untuned percussion instruments. Your child will develop musically through my own tried and tested syllabus, combining elements from Colourstrings, Kodaly and Dalcroze techniques. Parent participation is key; your voice is the most important voice in the world to your child, but please do not feel put off by this as the room will be full of singing!

peapod music sessions are split into four categories.

If you are a nursery teacher and are looking for a new way to excite your pupils, why not host a peapod session in your school? Classes are popping up in schools and nurseries across Surrey, and are proving to be very successful. The aim of a peapod session in any environment is for the child to explore music in a fun and laughter filled environment. Private home sessions are arranged and filled by a parent in their home; by inviting your friends and their children into a home environment you can organise a fun weekly or monthly get-together that both entertains and develop your children. The class runs very similarly to the public venue session, except capacity is limited to the number of children the host chooses to invite.

Parties for birthdays, christenings, and other exciting events are a fantastic chance for children to come together and celebrate through music, song and dance. I tailor the party session to meet your specific needs, and although this session runs very similarly to a public or private home session, it comes with age-appropriate party games and dancing!
